KBC visit

KBC is the national broadcaster owned and funded by the government and to some point i think to some exxtent they have tried tolive thei name. they have some quite good equipment used in their studios. It was funny realizing that all along they have been using a vitual studio of which i though was areal one.It has a digital center whereby they view all the station that air their content digitally and asked how they regulate what is aired by those many stations, Mr. Omondi, the head of this center said that they wait for orders from the media regulaters and if a certain stations goes against there licence then they have the right to order the closer of that station. one good thing about going digital according to Mr. Omondi was that there is the possibility of airing prepaid programs i.e. if you are a producer of maybe certain educational content you could actually earn money from it because peole will have to pay for it before watching. this will provide quite a good avenue of making money.
