KBC experience

The experience was nice. I learned so much though i did not get to hear some of what was being discussed. I learned that all broadcast signals passed through the controll room before they were transmitted. i also learned about the digital and analogue patch panels. i also learned about the virtual and real studios in the video brodcasting controll room. i learned about the lighting; i saw the dimmer and the dimmer test at work. i learned about the the alluminium metal rods used to move the lights suspended above. i learned that the anchors use the teleprompter to read news and the background is made virtual during news casting. i also learned about the different transmitters used to recieve different signals depending on the channel. lastly i learned about the DVBT that KBC have and they use decorders to access the digital signals. That’s where they monitor the digital video signal they receive and send out.
